Pantyhose. They're all over the place. Usually sheer black hose (with and without a print) with a very short dress or skirt, but sometimes even shorts. Yes, they have to be pantyhose, cuz those dresses and skirts are short enough, you'd know if they were stockings & a garter. If they're not wearing boots, the shoe of choice is almost always ballet flats.
Super-tight skinny jeans are popular as well, again with the ballet flats or boots.
Shocking fashion trend? There's enough women wearing 'jeggings' (leggings printed to look like jeans) and enough different types of jeggings here... I think they really think they're a real fashion statement and not a fashion faux pas as we do in the US.
A pleasing trend: while there are a share of skinny women in London, they're not heavily dominant. There a good deal of very healthy, normal looking young women and young women who are a little larger than normal. They appear happy, they look lovely, and they do not appear self-conscious about themselves and that is OUTSTANDING! Hear hear to the British women!
Pajama jeans...I cannot believe it.
