We landed this morning around 7:15, and thanks to only using the backpacks we quickly jumped on the tube for our hotel, freshened up, and set right out for the huge outdoor market in London called The Portobello Market.
It's truly packed with everything you could imagine people selling, running two miles down Portobello Road in the Notting Hill neighborhood. It was pretty heavy with high end decorative antiques, vintage clothes, excellent street food, and live performers.
We quickly found a breakfast place and I started the trip right with a full English breakfast (another post coming just on the food, as is my custom). Later, we finally got to have some decent crepes again too, as well as picking up this INCREDIBLE pastry of dessert cream and apple turnover amalgam.
There were lots of really interesting things to look at, and Jeri got a couple very cool vintage purses!
Tell Jeri I love the purses. How does she manage these with just a backpack? --pat
